100% clean record against hospital-acquired infections
We take infection prevention and control extremely seriously, and understand patients’ concerns about nasty superbugs. We only deal with scheduled care and have robust measures in place, such as following NHS England best practice guidelines about swabbing relevant at risk patients, to ensure everyone is given the best chance of protection against the likes of C.Difficile and MRSA.
Our patient-led assessments of the care environment (PLACE) scores, which see patients rate us on various aspects of our service, highlight the cleanliness of our hospital too, with a rating of 99.8%

Friends and family rating
99% of patients would recommend our hospital
The NHS Friends and Family Test (FFT) was created to help hospitals like us understand whether their patients are happy with the service provided, or whether improvements are needed. It is a quick and anonymous way for patients to give their views after receiving care or treatment across the NHS.
The FFT has been rolled out across most NHS services and more than 25 million pieces of patient feedback have been submitted since its launch in 2013. Our average FFT score in 2019 shows us that 99% of patients would recommend our service to their friends and family. Learn more about FFT here.
